Mufa Diet Plan
Chris Wragge talks to Liz Vaccariello of Prevention Magazine who explains the Mufa Diet Plan and why belly fat diets can really work.
Liz explains that belly fat is the deadly fat – it’s called visceral fat, and the problem is that the fat and hormones are interacting with the organs because they are all there in close proximity.
Getting older can exacerbate the problem. As we age, we may find our belly fat expanding. But so do our risk for diseases that are related to belly fat.
“The Flat Belly Diet” is based on MUFAs or monounsaturated fats – these fats target the belly fat. MUFAs can be found in olive oil, flax seed, nuts and seeds, pumpkin seeds, olives, tapenade, avocado and dark chocolate. Those are pretty yummy and especially easy to add to salads.
The rest of the lose belly fat diet goes like this:
- Eat every four hours.
- Eat 4 x 400 calories a day.
- And eat the MUFA with each meal.
As always, before embarking on a mufa diet plan – check with your doctor.
